Tent Repair Foreman

 

 

Summary of the Classification:

The Tent Repair Foreman oversees the repair of a variety of tents.
 

Principal Responsibilities:
 
¥      Oversees the measurement and marks, cutting, fitting, and sewing or cementing parts together, using hand or power tools and equipment and knowledge of fabrics and construction methods.
¥      Troubleshoot and diagnose units needing repair and maintenance
 
 
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
 
  • Overseeing the patching, sewing, and repairing of tents.
  • Ensures maintenance of adequate stock of supplies, equipment and working area.
  • Must be able to repair zippers, seams, etc.
 
 
Education Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.


Experience Required:

Typically, three (3) years of experience with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
 

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds or more without injury.
  • Use fabric cutters, fabric welders, leister heat guns and pneumatic snap setters.
