Stores Technician

 

 

Summary of the Classification:

Full time position performing preventive maintenance and repairs in the interior and exterior of stores including roof
 

Principal Responsibilities:
 
¥      Utilize knowledge of mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance skills to identify and correct store's maintenance problems
 
 
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
 
·         Manage local vendor relationships
·         Ensure store maintains a clean and safe environment
  • Manage expenses within guidelines
·         Perform under the guidance of a supervisor
 
 
Education Required:

High School diploma or equivalent
 

Experience Required:

Typically, a minimum of one (1) year of store technician experience.


Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
·         Ability to comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
·         Ability to write simple correspondence.
·         Ability to effectively present information to coworkers and/or supervisors on a one-on-one basis.
·         Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
·         Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
  • Requires basic analytical skills.
·         Must be able to use a PC for reviewing e-mail and accessing the Internet to order materials.
