Pot Washer
Summary of the Classification:
Responsible for the proper cleaning and hygiene of equipment that has been used by the chefs inside the kitchen such as pots, pans and cooking utensils
Principal Responsibilities:
¥ Soaks, washes, rinses and sanitizes pots, pans and kitchen.
¥ Keeps the landing area clear of pots and pans for safety purposes.
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
- Monthly cleans pots and pans.
- Quarterly cleans kitchen utensils
- Collects dirty pots, pans and kitchen utensils from the kitchen.
- Properly stacks and shelves pots, pans and kitchen utensils.
- Ensures pot washing sink is properly cleaned and free of dirty water after each shift.
- Uses cleaning supplies and chemicals correctly and economically.
- Assists cleaners in keeping the kitchen clean. Keeps working area clean and organized at all times.
- Perform other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.
Education Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience Required:
Minimum of one (1) year janitorial / cleaning experience
Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Display strong communication skills
- Foster and promote cooperative work environment
- Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures.
