Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Foreman
Summary of the Classification:
Performs repairs and maintains on a variety of equipment which may include buses, trucks/tractors and heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts and container handlers

Principal Responsibilities:
¥ Executes required teamwork and actively participates in the quality improvement process
¥ Promotes safety awareness and complies with all applicable safety procedures and regulations
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
- Installs specified new or reconditioned parts and/or makes required adjustments and reassembles complete units
- Disassembles engines and mechanical units to inspect parts and operating defects
- Troubleshoot, overhaul, repair and perform maintenance on all types of automotive hydraulic equipment, gasoline and diesel powered vehicles
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Required:
Typically, a minimum five (5) years supervisory experience in inspecting, repairing and maintaining heavy purpose vehicles.

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Requires specialized experience in diesel and automotive repair and maintenance
- Holds appropriate certification as may be required by law
- Prefer military applicants or applicants that have military background with at least four (4) years experience with tactical wheeled vehicles
- Must have knowledge of replacing major components and parts on tactical wheeled vehicles
- Knowledge of MOS 63 series (Army) or 3522 series (Marines) preferred
