Cargo Document Specialist

 

 
Summary of the Classification:

The Cargo Document Specialist is responsible for providing different levels of support to the production and management team. This may involve preparing labels, reviewing document drafts, assisting with document retrieval, and processing change requests.
 

Principal Responsibilities:
 
¥                  Destroy / Reconcile all unused labels / pouches / boxes and inserts that are returned
¥                  Assist in the process for implementing new and revised documents
 
 
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
 
  • Scanning of documents to be placed in archived folders
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement – under supervision
  • Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
  • Recover/restore corrupted document files when needed
  • Create and edit complex documents to specifications using expert word processing and advanced software knowledge
 
 
Education Required:

High School diploma or equivalent
 

Experience Required:
Typically, a minimum of two (2) years of document control experience


Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
·         Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
·         Strong organization, detail and accuracy skills
·         Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Access and other software tools a plus
