Crane Operator

 

Summary of the Classification:

The 100T RT Crane Operator is responsible for safe and effective operation of a Grove 9100 RT 100 Ton Crane with Rigging or equivalent model.
 
 
Principal Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for Vertical Movement for Logistic Operations to/from trucks and trailers and proper store.
  • Responsible for operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures.
  • Close interaction with the Military for the movement materials, supplies, equipment and setting.
 
 
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
 
  • Operate heavy crane in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Clean equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored
 
 
Education Required:

High School diploma or equivalent.
 

Experience Required:


Typically, Five (5) to ten (10) years experience.
 

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Drivers License Required
  • Knowledge of equipment safety, equipment maintenance and storage
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop and have ability to work around equipment, materials, supplies and other items required to be handled.
  • Work with limited supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned and qualified. Position is an extreme danger zone where physical and mental stresses are demanding. Living will be in camp style conditions and restroom/bath and cafeteria are shared. 
  • Must work minimum extended hours 7 days a week for long periods of time.
