QA/QC Supervisor

 

Summary of the Classification:

Works with local management in identifying and maintaining quality assurance, environmental, health and safety programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls.
 

Principal Responsibilities:
 
¥      Ensures performance and quality conform to established standards and governmental agency guidelines to ensure lasting customer satisfaction
¥      Audits the procedural elements of program management
 
 
 
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
 
·         Responsible for implementation, and management of the Quality Control Program
·         Consults with local management in determining best measures of project efficiency
·         Works directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process analyses and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications
·         Implements the Process Improvement Program
·         Supervises the development, analysis, and monitoring of the safety program
·         Prepares and ensures up-to-date accuracy of manuals
·         Provide leaderships and knowledge training to technicians and inspectors as necessary
·         Develops staff and determines best methods for performance enhancement
·         Ensures the site is compliant with OSHA standards and federal, state, local Hazardous Waste Management Programs, laws and regulations
·         Represents the Project Quality Manager as the Quality Management Representative
·         Develop quality performance measurement indicator metrics and perform trend analysis to combine capabilities, improve procedure and policies, and enhance quality
·         Supervises Quality Technicians and Inspectors in the performance of their duties.
 
 
 
 
Education Required:

HS Diploma or Equivalent
 

Experience Required:
Typically, ten (10) years experience in any combination in the following areas; Quality Assurance/Improvement, Safety and/or Environmental Compliance. Two (2) years of management experience is preferred.
 


Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
·         Working knowledge of military quality practices
·         Comprehensive knowledge of industrial safety programs, worker?s compensation insurance, occupational safety and health administration requirements and Code of Federal Regulations
·         Knowledge of environmental regulations
·         Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
